Al-Malijah al-Baqaratiya

This book is Tabari›s most important work and is actually the result of a lifetime of ef­forts in the field of patient treatment and contains practical information on the treat­ment of various patients during his more than thirty years of medical practice in the cities of Basra, Ahvaz and Ray. The other names of this book are «Al-Kanash fi al- Tabb», « -Al-Malijah al-Baqaratiya» .There are sections related to medical ophthalmol­ogy in Al-Baqaratiya›s Al-Kanash, which it seems that Khalifa bin Abi Al-Mahasen Halabi used to write the book «Al-Kafi». used in al-Kahl. According to Ahmed bin Mohammad Tabari›s references to the Ka­halan of Basra, Basra was probably one of the active centers of ophthalmology at that time. He referred the extensive description of eye diseases to his independent work, Al-Ain fi al-Halabarah, a copy of which is apparently preserved in one of the libraries of the city of Aleppo in Syria.
